Mission:
The Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park is dedicated to helping the citizens of Northwest Louisiana connect with nature by conserving a pine-oak-hickory forest for interpretation and recreation.
Vision:
The Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park is the recognized center for outdoor interpretation in northwestern Louisiana.
Located three miles west of Blanchard, the 160-acre nature park contains a pine-oak-hickory forest accessible by five miles of nature trails. The park has an interpretive building, a rentable pavilion with restrooms, a handicapped-accessible trail, and several naturalists who provide information and interpretation to park visitors. Nature oriented programs are available on an appointment basis.
Programs and Activities:
Park Naturalists offer a wide variety of programs, field trips camps, annual events, and more. Check the Nature Education page for more information and to see upcoming events.

All Parish of Caddo administrative offices and departments will be closed Wednesday, January 28 due to inclement weather conditions affecting Caddo Parish.
All parks sites remain open to use at own risk (no water available), with the exception of Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park and Robert L. Nance Park in Hosston, both of which are closed.
